A1C

I've got my third A1C today, and I'm so nervous. In general, I feel like I've had OK numbers when testing, but there was a period (about 4-5 weeks worth) where I was just super frustrated and not really testing, exercising much or making a food effort. I eventually rebounded from that, but when I started testing again, I was getting consistently higher numbers for a while. I've never popped 200, but it still wasn't great.

And just when I thought I was getting it back under control, I got hit with a massive sweet tooth. I've been trying not to go crazy with it, but still. I saw my dietitian during the good times, and she thinks that I'm on track to definitely drop to or below 6.5 from my 6.7, but I don't think she really grasped the bad times.

Time kind of flew (and apparently you don't schedule labs, you just show up some day), and I hope I'm getting this done early enough for the results to be in before my Wednesday appointment. Kind of. I almost don't want to deal with my doctor if I haven't seen the progress we want. But if that's the case, I think I'm going to advocate for another round of diet/exercise based control over metformin. Because I think there's a degree of reining in that I can still do, and I don't want to be on medicine when there's a chance I don't have to be, yet.
